BEIJING-- The high-performance, low-priced expert system design launched recently by Chinese startup DeepSeek has produced a wave of attention worldwide.
DeepSeek-R1 appears to provide performance that rivals options from the U.S., iuridictum.pecina.cz however the company says it was developed at less than a tenth of the cost of those designs.
Chinese technology news portal 36Kr interviewed the company's creator, kenpoguy.com Liang Wenfeng, asteroidsathome.net in July 2024.
